why race

we're all amateurs, unless you are a Kenyan.

if there is a start line, a clock, and a finish line, it's a race, but it doesn't mean you are there to "win", mostly you compete against yourself, or, run for a cause (charity).

races and events are great ways to:

- meet people

- push yourself

- give you a goal to work towards in the future

- discover new places (some races are held in conservation areas out of town, others in small towns you've likely never visited)...

- combine a race with travel (run the Rome or Iceland Marathon)

- compete in places you'll never likely find yourself - the New York City Marathon goes thru Harlem)...
